Circumcision, commonly known as Khatna or Khitan, is an important religious and hygienic practice followed by Muslims worldwide. Khatna refers to the surgical removal of the foreskin (the skin covering the head of the penis). It is considered part of Sunnah, the practice of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
In Germany, religious circumcision (Sunnat or Khatna) is a legally protected and common practice. Parents have the explicit legal right to have their male children circumcised. We help to guide people and find the appropriate practitioners to perform it safely, medically sound, and without unnecessary pain.
Aqiqah is the Islamic tradition of sacrificing livestock to celebrate the birth of a newborn. Traditionally performed on the 7th day, it involves sacrificing two sheep for a boy and one for a girl, shaving the baby’s hair, and distributing the meat to the poor and relatives. We help to perform Aqiqah following sunnah.
